Since 1976, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum (Wisconsin)has organized Birds in Art , an annual event seeking to present the very best contemporary artistic interpretations of birds and related subject matter.

This year I entered a painting for selection for the first time, and was one of 100 artists from around the world to be included in this prestigious event. Other artists represented in the exhibition include some of the most famous names in the business, such as Robert Bateman, Lars Johnson and John Seerey-Lester. My good friend Szabolcs Kokay, from Budapest, also had work accepted, and he represents the first Hungarian to be involved in the event.

My painting, shown above, is entitled 'Early morning- Marsh Harrier' and is painted in acrylic on paper.
